Part 1 of 4: Presidential Candidates - Hillary Clinton

Forget all of her claims that she is being treated poorly by the press, forget here economic plan, and think about the underlying person.

A whore, without any “true” experience, that at least 10 years ago did not have the resolve to see anything through. Let me explain:

Whore: She is from Arkansas, yet while she was still living in the White House she bought a place in New York solely so she could establish residency and be Senator of New York. Apparently, Senator of Arkansas was not good enough for her.

(Hillary is not originally from Arkansas.  She moved there when she married Bill; however, I still think she has spent a large portion of her life in Arkansas which to me means she is from Arkansas.)

No “True” Experience: It seems like every speech she gives she emphasizes 35 years of experience. Experience doing what? Before Bill, you never heard of Hillary. Yes, she was the First Lady for 8 years but during that time, she did not get anything done. She failed to pass all of her initiatives.

No Resolve: Speaking of failed initiatives, I think we all realize how often health care is being brought up in this election. What no one seems to be mentioning is her healthcare plan, is the same healthcare plan she tried to push through Congress while she was First Lady. In her 8 years in the White House, after failing to pass the plan through Congress in the first 2 years, she quit and did nothing about it for the next 14 years.

(I was wrong. The health care plans are radically different. However, after failing to push her healthcare plan through Congress she did not bring it up again. She quit.)

(Thanks to Robin for the corrections.

Well… she’s not from Arkansas. She grew up in Illinois. She went to college in Conneticut. Because she married a guy from Arkansas, she moved there and lived there for all those years while Bill was governor or preparing to become governor.

And, yeah. If you’re a New Yorker, there might be reason to be offended by her moving into the state to run. But that doesn’t seem to be shared by New Yorkers who’ve shown what is to me an astounding willing to elect folks like Hillary Clinton or Robert Kennedy to the Senate even when they’ve spent little time in the state.

Her health care plan this time around is (unfortunately) far different than the one she failed to get passed in the 90s. It is, as Obama says, nearly identical to the one he’s promoting except that it would (probably) cover more people from the start. But the basic mechanics of both plans still depend (unfortuately) on the same failed insurance/hospital/doctor cartel that’s managed to mess things up.

And experience? I, too, think the argument is kind of silly — especially because McCain will knock either O or C pretty heavily as “inexperienced” in a general election. But at least Clinton served a full term in the Senate before starting to run for office.

Ok, so she is not originally from Arkansas. And no, I am not a New Yorker, but I am still offended that she moved to New York solely to run for Senate.

To me, Hillary Clinton’s move to New York to be senator defines exactly what is wrong with the political system today. We are supposed to elect people because we believe they represent us the best. Instead we are electing the people with the most money who are completely out of touch with the constituents. Similarly Hillary was elected to Senate and she had barely lived in New York. How can someone be in touch with the constituents if they have hardly lived in the state.

I probably should have done a little better fact checking on the health care plan (Thanks Robin), but I do not think my error changes the argument much.
